Everyone doesn't have to do the same thing
The usual problem with a family holiday is that one person dives and everyone else waits. On a private charter that doesn't have to happen. The divers dive, the snorkellers get a calm shallow site, and anyone who just wants the boat, the shade and the water stays exactly where the day is happening.
It works because the boat is yours for the day. We're not fitting your group around a schedule built for strangers, so the plan can bend around who's actually with you.

What a mixed day can include
Not all of this at once, necessarily — but any combination of it, in whatever order suits the group.
- Certified divers diving the reef or a wall
- Snorkellers over shallow, calm sites
- Swimming and time in the water from the boat
- Non-divers who just want the boat day and the scenery
- Discover Scuba for a first-timer, aged 10 or over

Good to know
Three things that shape the plan
None of these are obstacles. They just decide how the day gets built, so it's better to know them before you book than on the dock.
The minimum diving age is 10
That applies to every kind of diving we run, including Discover Scuba. Younger children are very welcome on the boat and in the water with you — snorkelling, swimming and enjoying the day — just not diving.
Discover Scuba needs direct supervision
Anyone trying scuba for the first time stays under direct instructor supervision for the whole experience. That shapes the crew we bring and how many first-timers we can take on one trip, so tell us early.
Mixed activities are planned in advance
Diving, snorkelling and a first-timer on the same trip means the right crew, the right gear and the right sites. It's straightforward when we know beforehand — much harder to arrange on the morning.
To be plain about the age rule: children under 10 don't dive with us, in any form. They can absolutely come along, get in the water, snorkel and swim — and plenty of families build the whole day around exactly that.
First time in the group
If someone wants to try diving
Discover Scuba is how most people take their first breath underwater, and it's open to anyone aged 10 or over with no previous experience. An instructor stays directly with them the entire time.
Because that supervision is one-to-one work, a first-timer changes the shape of the trip more than another certified diver does. Mention it when you enquire and it's easy to build around.

You don't need a finished plan. You need to tell us who's in the group — we'll come back with what's realistic and what it costs.
- How many of you there are, and the ages of anyone under 18
- Who's certified, who wants to snorkel, and who's just along for the day
- Whether anyone would like to try scuba for the first time
- Any dates that are fixed, and any that are flexible
- Anything you're unsure about — including whether it'll work at all
If a mixed day genuinely won't work the way you're imagining it, we'll say so and suggest something that will. That conversation is free and there's no obligation at the end of it.
