Where are you from originally and how did you get started in Diving?
Even though I am from a landlocked state (Kansas) I have always been in the water. Lifeguard, sailing, water skiing, etc… so it was a natural progression to try diving. Once I did it I knew that I was going to pursue it.
How did you end up coming to Cayman?
I was offered a 3-month contract with Fisheye and took them up on it. My first dive was Eagle Ray Pass… I was hooked. I came back and told them if they wanted me for longer I would sign up with them and they did.
Why do you love diving in Grand Cayman?
After island hopping around the Caribbean for a couple years, I instantly knew after my first dive here that these waters have something special about them. I cannot put it into words, but I instantly loved diving here and will always love it.
What is your favorite Dive site and why?
That is impossible to answer. West is either Sand Chutes, since it has so much life, Eagle Rays, Chromis, Eels, or North West Point, it never disappoints. North is Round About, killer formations, or Main Street, always looking for the big stuff.
What is your favorite restaurant on the island?
Going out for nice evening it’s Blue Cilatro. Casual split between Sunshine Grill and Agave.
What is something funny about yourself?
I am terrified of heights and scream like a little girl on roller coasters.
